Antique Doll...

I'm going to wear my age proudly
as if I were an antique doll.
I'll sport my age spots
and wrinkles like medals
and attribute a better vanished
time to each flaw.

My smile will be a mystery.
People will wonder who've passed by me
and where I've been.
And I'll have such an air of grace
that more eyes will be on me
than if I were eighteen again.

With all of the elegance of
a true lady,
I'll hold my head high
and carry myself with a pride that
no scale can measure.
And with each year that passes by,
I'll have confidence
that I'm even more of a treasure.
