Trouble brings lessons,
or so they say.
The wise are survivors
of many rainy days.
And we must feel pain
before we can heal.
We can't empathize with others
until we experience life's ills.
And each bit of grief
and every little tear
makes us aware of our blessings
every day through the years.
But as much as I know this,
I'm still inclined to say:
"I hope no trouble
visits my home today."
And dear friend,
I hope you know it's true,
each day I'm wishing
that no trouble visits you.
